A specific peptide extracted from bovine colostrum and possessing iron-binding properties. Allergy Research lactoferrin has 95% purity and 77.5% to 80.5% iron-binding capacity. Lactoferrin is involved in biochemical processes in lymphocytes and in iron metabolism.
